Coaching is:

  • a partnership between Coach and Client experienced in a nonjudgmental environment
  • a strategy for assisting Clients in achieving their highest level of well-being and performance
  • a growth-promoting, thought-provoking, and strengths-based relationship that brings about intrinsic/internal motivation
  • a change process using visualizing, goal creation, accountability, and compassion

Coaching outcomes include:

  • increased self-awareness and self-knowledge
  • increased personal responsibility
  • achievement of personal and professional goals
  • sustainable behavior change
  • increased life-satisfaction
  • increased self-efficacy (self-confidence in achieving goals)
  • sense of purpose and meaning in life
  • becoming one’s best self

Coaching is NOT:

  • advice giving
  • therapy
  • counseling
  • based on the Coach’s expert opinion – You are the expert!
  • prescriptive solutions to problems
